Hot off the press from tonight's dance recital. A quick pose with her teacher, Ms. Tricia. Keelee is the third from the left; She is in the back row on the far left in the final pose.
As you can see, Garrett and Keelee got all spiffed up tonight for a GS Daddy and Daughter Dance. Notcie the fancy shoes on Keelee! She loves these and wants to wear them everywhere.
Yeah! Daddy started his new job today. He's on day shift again!! After he left we crawled into bed with mommy to prevent her from getting any more sleep and we're looking forward to having dinner with daddy tonight. Maybe he'll even read us a story!!
Keelee graduated from Kindergarden this past Wednesday. This year's graduation caps were actually construction hats in honor of the building addition. They were really cute. Yes, I cried, okay.
Keelee and Abbey attended a Girl Scout Mrs. Potts Tea Party where they learned about manners and how to brew the perfect cup of tea - looks more like a preview of Proms to come!
Thursday was Brynna's last day of Mommy and Me class at pre-school. The teacher treated them to a water day - complete with bubbles, shaving cream, sprinklers and popsicles. We're both sad this class has ended.
Bend it like Beckham?; shoot like Shaq?; homers like Sosa? Brynna loved this sports class - t-ball was her favorite. Maybe Aunt Trish will have someone to follow in her footsteps on the softball field.
I just found out that amongst all kindergardeners Keelee raised the highest amount of money for Jump Rope for Heart! $140!! Pround mama again! Thanks to all who donated.
This past week Keelee and Abbey bridged from Daisies to Brownies! What a beautiful night for a walk - great company, great talk and a great sunset! Cookie sales will begin before you know it so start saving your money!
Here are some highlights of Brynna's 3rd birthday...the beautiful Tinkerbell cake that Grandma Sandie made, playing games with friends and a spotlight moment on the steam train.
Last night Keelee and Abbey went to a Girl Scout Sing-a-long and were the only Daisies there - again. They learned some new songs, met some new friends and even sang in front of over 100 kids! We didn't plan on singing but as the night wore on Keelee insisted that she wanted to go up there. Let me tell you - those two sangs their hearts out! Of course, I started crying! I am one proud mama and GS leader!
This year our Easter was great! We decorated cookies and eggs, went on two egg hunts and painted bird houses. Mom and dad were so happy with our sugar high, too!
First, Dancing with the Stars is back on t.v. Second, Joey Fatone and his partner danced a tango to the theme from "Star Wars" - which is Keelee's favorite movie to watch with daddy.
She was so excited Monday night after watching their dance that she was actually squealing. Then last night the got the encore and were not eliminated - once again, she was squealing with delight. She even asked me to buy her the Start Wars soundtrack.
I just caught her humming the theme song at the dinner table.
This morning the girls and I went to the Arizona Youth Museum for some much needed fun. However, after speding time at the Minnesota Children's Museum mom was greatly disappointed! Keelee wanted to show Grandma Coo how tall the corn grows here and how carrotts are planted!
To earn their green "using resources wisely" Daisy Girl Scout petal, we took the girls on a little hike at South Mountain. Ranger Brian showed them a giant scorpian, a diamondback skin with rattles attached, and, then he took us outside where they girls smelled a creosote bush, saw a teddy bear cholla and saw petroglyphs. I think mom had more fun than anyone - except when the snake skin was out. It was a beautiful and educational morning!
We have major progress in potty training! Brynna is now able to go all day without pull-ups except at sleepy time. Mom and dad are so excited that we don't have to buy diapers anymore! Yeah!!
Last week was Keelee's jump rope event at school. She had so much fun - she even added her name to the big card at school. Thank you's are in the mail!
...is how you explain Brynna! At her last dance class there were four girls - three were dressed in purple and Brynna was in pink. She just has to be different! She also played the role of a siamese cat at her previous class - once again the other girls were trimmed with cheetah print and Brynna had cow trim. What are you going to do?
The first 10 days of February have been crazy for us! We've gone from one event to another plus we had a major illness - Keelee had her first 103 degree fever since her tonsils were removed almost three years ago. Hopefully the remaining 17 days are less crazy. Enjoy the pictures!!
Brynna and mommy at the fire station; Brynna at ballet class; and Brynna had breakfast with the stingrays at our zoo - she was terrified of them and would not leav her hand in to touch one. Mommy got a great big kiss on the hand from one! (Dad - they're cow nose rays - there were also Southern rays but I couldn't get a picture of those).
One of Garrett's Christmas presents was a family trip to the hockey game. This was the first game for both girls and they were in heaven. Our teamed played Minnesota - I know you're all shocked! - and we lost, of course! It was nice to see the new arena and the new shopping complexes - getting ready for Super Bowl 41 (I don't remember the proper Roman Numerals!!)
