Vidal Sassoon

Before I went to bed last night, I noticed a clump of hair in the sink. I picked it up wondering what doll this came from - then I realized it was real, and it was straight. I ran across the house and woke Brynna up to find a huge hole by her left ear. Great.

So, I took her to the kiddie salon today and she has a whole new hair cut. The stylist took off about eight inches - two inches shy of being able to donate it. Major bummer.

Anyway, now she really looks like mom!

First Day of School

Keelee started first grade today and she was so excited she could hardly sleep last night. This morning she was bouncing off the walls. I finally had to sit her down and read a book with her to calm her down. We'll see what she says when she gets home today. Hopefully, it's a good report!

Brynna starts in two weeks!!

I can hear the quiet calling me...

No more diapers or pull-ups!!!

Brynna has made much progress in the potty training department...we've finally gotten her down to just panties for all times of the day. So there might be a few wet nights but our budget is happier!!

Prize Winner!

We just got a call from the local library - Keelee won the grand prize for her age group in their summer reading program. She won a cute Disney Princess Fun Kit! Way to go Keelee!!

School Shopping

This past Friday the girls and I went on our annual school shopping adventure with Jenni and Abbey. A fun couple of hours was had by all. But the highlight of the day was Brynna telling me that she HAD to have a cheetah print skirt so she could be "cheeta-licious." Since she'd been so good and hadn't asked for anything else the entire day, I gave in.

Keelee's favorite place was in water; our strawberry picking haul; grabbing candy at their first parade; Brynna the mermaid!

A few highlights from our trip...

Brynna's two favorite spots were digging in the garden and "go faster" on the 4-wheeler; Keelee finally lost her first tooth - if she could have she would have announced it on national news!; mom's highlight was meeting Coach Lucia; mom and dad made news dolls for our girls at the MOA.

We're Home!

Sorry for the lack of posts - but you all know why...

We've been in Minnesota for the past month.

And what a lovely month it was.

Daddy & Daughter Dance

As you can see, Garrett and Keelee got all spiffed up tonight for a GS Daddy and Daughter Dance. Notcie the fancy shoes on Keelee! She loves these and wants to wear them everywhere.

Day Shift

Yeah! Daddy started his new job today. He's on day shift again!!
After he left we crawled into bed with mommy to prevent her from getting any more sleep and we're looking forward to having dinner with daddy tonight. Maybe he'll even read us a story!!

Graduation

Keelee graduated from Kindergarden this past Wednesday. This year's graduation caps were actually construction hats in honor of the building addition. They were really cute. Yes, I cried, okay.

Tea Party or preview of Prom?

Keelee and Abbey attended a Girl Scout Mrs. Potts Tea Party where they learned about manners and how to brew the perfect cup of tea - looks more like a preview of Proms to come!

Keelee had dance pictures today and a dress rehearsal. Too cute for words!

Water Day at School

Thursday was Brynna's last day of Mommy and Me class at pre-school. The teacher treated them to a water day - complete with bubbles, shaving cream, sprinklers and popsicles. We're both sad this class has ended.
