Sick Household

What a week!

Keelee has bronchitis and is miserable.

Mommy has a sinus infection and is miserable.

Brynna is healthy and bouncing off the walls.

Daddy is leaving town to get away from all this!

Fall Break

We're on fall break this week. We have no plans other than to drive our mom nuts.

Papa Oz is recovering from his knee surgery and is driving Grandma Coo nuts!

Congratulations to Great-Grandma & Grandpa Evenson on their new addition - they adopted a dog named Hopscotch a couple of weeks ago. We hope she has as much fun in their house as we do!

Daddy is going out of town next week for the first time since Brynna was a baby. We've been promising not to drive mom nuts next week too!

And, welcome to the world baby Cole James! We hope to meet you soon.

TV Stars!

Tonight Keelee and I went to Kristi Yamaguchi Friends and Family a.k.a. Stars on Ice with Corbin Bleu and the Cheetah Girls. We found out that they were filming this event to show on t.v. Thanksgiving weekend - very cool!

The skating was awesome and all of the screaming could have woken the dead.

Ahhhh, the concerts I have to look forward to!

The Wrong Desert?

Yesterday the girls went to the zoo to celebrate Rachel's birthday and Grandma insisted that they take a camel ride. Poor camel.

After School Programs

Ok, I did it. I let Keelee join a cheerleading class.

I hope I don't regret it in about 10 years.

She's also in a drawing class, dance class and Girl Scouts - those provide balance!!

This one's for you Trish...

Set-up: Two weeks ago I introduced Brynna to the movie "Grease." She was mesmorized by all the songs and laughed at my singing of them.

Today: We were in the car and one of the DJ's said the name Sandy and in the back seat I start to hear "Oh, Sandy, babyyyyy. Oh, that Sandy."

I almost drove off the road from laughter.

Another generation of our family who loves "Grease." It makes my heart proud!

Brynna's First Day of Preschool!!

Yeah! Brynna finally started school!!
She loved going to meet her new teachers and new friends. When I asked her what her favorite thing was today she said: swinging, sliding, monkey bars, playdough, playing with the doll house, singing, and getting bubbles.
That pretty much covers the day!
P.S. She was awake at 4:30 this morning too!

Tiny Dancer

Brynna is participating in another Fairy Tale Ballet class with the local Park and Rec. program. Today was an Ariel dance and she was so cute with a hula skirt and flower in her hair. Then she fell apart...

Toward the middle of the dance she was to pick up a towel laying on the ground behind her. Well, one of the other girls took her towel. Instead of getting the remaining towel, Brynna sat down and cried her eyes out.

Hopefully next week will be better!

First Week of School Report

Well, Keelee has already found a new boyfriend, Cody. She also has two others in the wings, Bryton and Collin. She told me earlier this week she finally understands what the word "crush" means because Collin has a bad crush on her. He even sent home a love note - kind of a "check yes or no" type note.

She also told me that so and so thinks she is so popular and she's really not. Great, this garbage starts in first grade now!

It's going to be an interesting year.

Too Cute!!

Vidal Sassoon

Before I went to bed last night, I noticed a clump of hair in the sink. I picked it up wondering what doll this came from - then I realized it was real, and it was straight. I ran across the house and woke Brynna up to find a huge hole by her left ear. Great.

So, I took her to the kiddie salon today and she has a whole new hair cut. The stylist took off about eight inches - two inches shy of being able to donate it. Major bummer.

Anyway, now she really looks like mom!

First Day of School

Keelee started first grade today and she was so excited she could hardly sleep last night. This morning she was bouncing off the walls. I finally had to sit her down and read a book with her to calm her down. We'll see what she says when she gets home today. Hopefully, it's a good report!

Brynna starts in two weeks!!

No more diapers or pull-ups!!!

Brynna has made much progress in the potty training department...we've finally gotten her down to just panties for all times of the day. So there might be a few wet nights but our budget is happier!!

Prize Winner!

We just got a call from the local library - Keelee won the grand prize for her age group in their summer reading program. She won a cute Disney Princess Fun Kit! Way to go Keelee!!

School Shopping

This past Friday the girls and I went on our annual school shopping adventure with Jenni and Abbey. A fun couple of hours was had by all. But the highlight of the day was Brynna telling me that she HAD to have a cheetah print skirt so she could be "cheeta-licious." Since she'd been so good and hadn't asked for anything else the entire day, I gave in.
